I just need enough to tide me over until I need more. - Bill Hoest

At first I chuckled a little. How often do we crave a temporary fix, even while we realize it is only temporary?

I recently listened to a message on the Mars Hill podcast talking about cycles, how we can get emotionally wrapped up in hoping for something, only to have our spirit deflate when things don't turn out as we expected.

Right now, in terms of enjoying life, I am at low tide. I am not enjoying life, and I don't know why. What I do know, I don't need or want a temporary fix.
